Henry Farm Inn Bed and Breakfast, Chester Vermont
Chester, Vermont

Farewell Guests and Friends,

We have some exciting news: We sold the Henry Farm Inn in May 2021 and our doors are now closed. For new guests seeking reservations, we are sorry we will not have the opportunity to host your stay at the Henry Farm Inn. For lodging in the Chester area, we recommend you contact the Chester House Inn, chesterhouseinn.com or the Inn at Weathersfield, weathersfieldinn.com. For those of you who have visited the Henry Farm Inn many times, please know we will miss you greatly!

For now, we are happily living at our little vacation home in Eastham, MA on Cape Cod and having a relaxing and restorative time. Paul still works for the State of New Hampshire, and after remote working ends, we will look for a home there. Pat is retired, and spending time caring for her Mom. We are all enjoying Cape Cod Summer 2021!

For anyone that has a deposit with the Henry Farm Inn, we are working our way through our records to return those, but please do not hesitate to contact us and that may speed things along. For gift certificates that were purchased, please contact us for a refund.

We can be reached by email at hfinn@vermontel.net. We will keep this address active until about May 2022.

We want to thank you all for 20 years of visits, friendships and all around fun times at the Henry Farm Inn. So many of you are more like family than Inn guests at this point and we will truly miss you and your families. We hope you stay in touch to tell us what is going on in your lives. Let's keep the conversations going, if not over breakfast, or in front of the fireplace, or on the back porch swing, as we did for so many years, at least by email. And please email to arrange a visit with us on Cape Cod if you happen to travel there this summer. We would love to see you.

Be well and again THANK YOU for 20 awesome years of Innkeeping in Vermont!

The Henry Farm Inn, a center hall Federal built in the late 1700's, is located in Chester, Vermont on the Green Mountain Turnpike and holds a significant place in Chester's history.

Henry Farm Inn Bed and Breakfast, Chester Vermont Our well-maintained two hundred year old farmhouse was the first tavern in Chester, when it served as a stagecoach stop on the Green Mountain Turnpike. In colonial times this turnpike ran from Boston to Montreal, but now is a quiet, picturesque dirt road for us to treasure, perfect for biking, walking or a peaceful drive off the beaten path. The Henry Farm Inn offers a private country setting, but is only minutes away from the charming and historic Victorian village of Chester.

Henry Farm Inn Bed and Breakfast, Chester Vermont The Henry Farm Inn has retained the charm of its earlier days and we welcome guests who appreciate the Inn for its authenticity and simple early American décor. When you arrive we'll give you the "grand tour" to see for yourself how our rooms are enhanced by the original wide pumpkin-pine floors (the largest one measures almost two feet wide!), our eight Rumford fireplaces, original hand-hewn beams, a beehive oven in the dining room fireplace, a hearth oven in our wonderful country kitchen, authentic Moses Eaton stenciling, and, Chester's first hot water bathtub.

Our beautiful, natural surroundings speak for themselves - come enjoy the view from our wonderful back porch swing and treasure the Vermont countryside with us! We cordially invite you to relax in our refreshingly friendly and casual atmosphere. Our goal is to create an Inn that is warm and comforting, just like home.
